How To Set and Achieve Your Goals

We all are guilty about setting unrealistic goals at the beginning of the year, am I right?  Keep reading to find out how to set and achieve your goals no matter what time of the year it is!

1. Have a system and strategy

For me this includes my planner and goal planning inserts as show above. One of my favorite shops for inserts especially goal planning is Peanut Planner Co. Without my planner I would be lost, I always call it my second brain!

2. Be clear on actionable steps

Big goals can be very daunting which makes us even more prone to procrastinating. By dividing your goals into actionable steps that you can take daily, weekly, monthly, etc, it will not only be easier for you to accomplish that goal but it will be less frustrating and far more rewarding.

3. Keep a tracker for accountability

This has been a game changer for me this year. Since using a weekly and monthly tracker in my planner, I have found that I am much more productive on tasks at hand and keeps me on track to achieving my goals. Anyone else feel extremely accomplished by checking something off a list?

4. Reward yo self!

Last but definitely not least is to reward yourself when you accomplish not only the big goal, but the smaller actionable steps. This could be treating yourself to ice cream or watching a few episodes of your favorite show on Netflix.

How do you set your goals? Do you have a system and strategy in place? Let me know in the comments below!

What's In My Planner Bag

After about a year of planning and finding what works for me, I have crafted my everyday supplies down to this adorable pouch from Tj Maxx! These supplies are perfect for ring planning, travelers notebooks, note taking, bullet journaling, etc.

Pastel Pilot Frixion Erasable Highlighters

I love using these highlighters to color code and highlight important events on my calendar I need to remember!

Hobonichi Techo 2017 Coleto Pen

Hi-Tec-C Coleto Pen

Coleto pens are one of my faves because you can have multiple pens in one barrel and it helps to not only save space but have exactly what you need in one pen and can change out the ink!

Pentel Pencil Click 0.7

Pentel Clic Eraser

These two items have quickly become must-haves for my bullet journal. I like to sketch things out in pencil first (so I can erase any mistakes because I am a perfectionist). I then use the big eraser to erase the pencil marks after writing in pen.

Tombow Calligraphy Pen

Black Sharpie

The Tombow calligraphy pen has become my favorite pen to use. I love how it writes, doesn't bleed through and I have been enjoying trying to learn calligraphy and hand lettering. I use the sharpie to write on laminated post-it notes in my planner for quick thoughts that I can just wipe off later.

 Staedtler Triplus Fineliner Pens

These pens have the most incredible top for writing and color-coding. I have come to realize I definitely need all the colors!
