Are you making self-care a priority? If not, now is the time to start! Here are some ways you can focus on self care!

PAMPER

You have one body to take care of so treat yourself! Paint your nails, get that facial, go for a massage. The best part about this is you can either have an at home pamper sesh or go to a spa or salon for a few hours. This will 100% help you to recharge you batteries and make you feel great.

EXERCISE

We all know how important exercise is and many of us don't make it a priority. Just get moving in any way you can whether it is stretching, yoga, pilates, taking a spin class, going for a walk, going on a walk, going to a gym. You can choose whether you want to get moving at home or out so you feel comfortable!

MEDITATION

This has been a game-changer for me especially this year dealing with health issues as well as anxiety and depression. Being more mindful and really meditating and taking the time to be still and present has really helped me to calm down, relax and sleep better. Meditation can work better when you create a calm, quiet environment to relax in with plenty of natural light. If you do not believe there is enough natural light coming through your windows then experiment with different places or upgrade to something like a new aluminum window installation so that you can really make the most of your windows and the space around it.

NIGHT IN

When you are feeling overworked or overtired, having a cozy night in is just what you need. Get all comfy throw on a Netflix show or documentary, have a nice cup of tea, and snuggle up with a blanket. Sometimes a distraction from the real world, while we unwind, can make a huge difference.

READ

I know not everyone is a reader but reading is one of my biggest hobbies. It not only relaxes me and allows me to decompress a bit but I love losing track of time while reading a good book. It also keeps your mind sharp which is always a plus!

HYGIENE

This is #1 priority. Take care of the only body you have. Nurture it, love it, and give it the attention it deserves.

DIET

This is also a biggie. Be more mindful of the foods you put into your body. I went dairy and gluten-free since I was having bad sensitivities to them and have been eating as healthy and organic as possible. It really does make a difference. You have to listen to what your body is telling you.
